Holistic Healing Facial Treatment by Jessa Blades

Holistic Healing Facial Treatment by Jessa Blades

Date: May 18, 10am - 6pm
Price: Sliding scale $45, $100, $150

This is a combo massage/facial/nervous system reset and includes oil and massage on the face, head, neck, shoulders, hands and feet.

This treatment is an up-leveled facial that combines the ancient science and energy work of Ayurveda with a skin-refreshing facial reflexology. It is perfect for calming a stressed-out mind/body, deeply nourishing the skin, and getting your nervous system into a healing and calm state where the stress can begin to melt away and allow in the healing that you deserve. All of the oils, masks and facial sprays are chosen and customized for each client and consist of the best natural and plant-based ingredients. I focus on the most overworked & in-need of love parts of the body- the face, head, neck, shoulders, hands and feet.

This treatment is especially good for anyone who is:
Living through a pandemic, stressed, trying to heal their skin or look more vibrant, a new parent, in need of a treat, a working from home superstar, exhausted from parenting/work/traveling/life/the patriarchy/systemic racism.

About Jessa: Jessa Blades is a celebrity makeup artist, natural beauty authority, wellness expert, esthetician and herbalist based in Brooklyn, NY. She is deeply passionate about sharing simple and gentle ways to heal and nurture the body and skin while still looking fabulous.

Inspired by the idea of true healing and wellness, Jessa made the switch to natural, non-toxic beauty products in 2008 and founded her company, Blades Natural Beauty, the same year. Her goal then and now is to provide sustainable beauty routines, pure products, and expert advice for anyone looking to detox their medicine cabinet and heal—instead of hide—their imbalances.

When she’s not on set, Jessa uses her nineteen years of experience to lead private lessons and group workshops on beautifying from the inside out. She teaches women how to apply makeup, choose natural and healing products, and incorporate herbs and food based medicine into their lives to heal their skin. As a teacher and a makeup artist, Jessa's mission is to bring the message of self-care and empowerment into the conversation around beauty and healing.

More about (Salon)CARE Week:

Care Week was created as an experimental form of mutual community caregiving within our extended Salon community.

We're teaming up with holistic healers, pilates instructors, physical therapists, coaches, and others to offer resources and access to practices that can help support and sustain hairdressers body needs from the inside out and at every stage of their career.

PRICING:
Each practitioner is offering their services on a sliding scale or has set aside a few spots that will be free and prioritized for hairstylists whose own hair services are at a lower price point than the Care service cost. We aimed to price these services around the same price as an average NYC haircut or color, thus making the cost a direct service trade monetarily.

By booking a service at full price, you help fund a service for hairstylists who will benefit from our accessible pricing model. Our pro bono and sliding scale spots prioritize BIPOC hairstylists in our neighborhood of Los Sures. If this describes you, then you are highly encouraged to book an appointment and inquire about pricing accessibility. We thank you for practicing and experimenting with community caretaking with us at Salon for this first ever Care Week.
