Rubi is a NY-based hairdresser represented by Julian Watson Agency. She runs Salon, a creative studio centered around the intersection of hair and culture. She has been doing hair for 16+ years, working between NY, Paris, and LA and is known for her effortless cuts that need little to no styling and look great for months.

With a background in fine arts, materials study, and art history, my approach to hair is rooted in creativity, intuition, and a deep appreciation for natural form. After managing a highly creative NYC salon and working alongside industry leaders, I was drawn to pursue my own path behind the chair. With over a decade in hair between salons, apothecaries, and set styling, I’ve cultivated a practice that centers around low-maintenance, air-dry styles that highlight the nuance and beauty of your natural texture.

I book extra time for each cut to explore not just how your hair looks today, but how it will grow and shift with you—season by season. I see the haircut as a ritual: a chance to ground, reconnect, and move forward with intention. Each transformation is personal, intuitive, and rooted in where you are and where you’re going.

Yamilet, “Yamie,” has been a hairstylist for 12+ years. Originally from Las Vegas, where she worked for 5 years, since moving to NY she has focused her time in NYC on haircutting and styling. She splits her time between the SALON and styling and designing hair backstage on film/tv and in broadway/theater productions. Find her at SALON on weekends & upon request.

HAIRSTYLIST + COLORIST

Bunny loves curls, waves, and cutting shapes that enhance her clients natural texture and accentuates their individual features. Her attention to detail, tones, and maintaining the integrity of her clients hair has gained her a reputation with blondes, double process, and painting hair. Intentionally and intuitively flowing between razor, scissors and hand styling. Clients walk away with an elevated version of air dried locks.

HAIRSTYLIST + CURL SPECIALIST

Diamond grew up in a salon and launched her career in the beauty industry in 2010. Sassoon trained, she went directly into a mentorship with renowned DryCut expert Curt Darling. With a passion for dry cutting and embracing natural texture, Diamond tailors her techniques to suit every client, whether you love to air dry or prefer heat styling. Her approach combines extensive product knowledge with simple yet effective styling tips, ensuring that each client leaves feeling confident they can recreate the look at home. Olivia is a Mexican-American hairdresser, from Corpus Christi, Texas. Having worked in salons since she was 15 years old, hair has surrounded her life from a young age. She developed a deep love and connection to cutting curls and texture during her 3 year apprenticeship in Austin, Texas and has cultivated a clientele that seeks out her shapes for 11 years. Priding herself in crafting and co-creating lived in shapes alongside her clients. Her specialty lies in haircuts that are seamless and created for longevity and versatility, while enhancing the curl/texture for the client and can be diffused or air dried. She is consistently inspired by peers, books, clients, and listening to the hair itself.
