Care Week 2026

Care Week 2026 is dedicated to our neighbors who work in mutual aid, volunteers, working parents, educators, and health care workers. A lot of them experienced funding cuts to their work over the last year and they responded to these circumstances by protecting the most vulnerable and giving even more.

We are inviting our extended community to join us in gifting them holistic healing by raising funds to provide massages, acupuncture, manicures, pedicures, and facials. These services will be provided by small businesses and we want to pay each of them instead of asking anyone to donate their time or services.

We are kicking off this fundraiser with a day party at SALON on July 26th and will be accepting donations through Aug 2nd.

Our party is inspired by the Sunday family gatherings we grew up with and the energy of Los Sures. Doors will be open all day, music spilling out onto the street, our signature agua de jamaica with a little piquito and the snacks you always see at our events (spicyyyyy). Pop in, bring a friend, and love up on the community for a bit.

(SALON)CARE - Rooted in nurturing the roles hairdressers have in the communities they live/work in through the personal care they intrinsically provide to anyone that sits in their chair. CARE initiatives include fundraising, volunteering, and educating salon workers to continue to serve their communities as they historically always have.
